Once there was a brave boy goes to the hills and prays for help for his people cause they are starving for a few days.A rider on a magnificent animal gave him an animals called "sacred dog" He was rewarded by the Great Spirit for his courageousness.
First story:The Ungrateful Tiger
There was once a tiger, who is very greedy.He will eat up parts of a human and once ate up someone's leg.The villagers decided to trapped the tiger by digging holes.he is a tiger not honest and grateful.The young man helped the tiger but the tiger even wanted to eat the young man up.At last, the tiger was stuck in the hole.
Second Story:The Monkey And The Crocodile
Long Time Ago, there was a clever monkey lived in a great fig tree.A crocodile admired and wanted the monkey's heart.The crocodile's husband wanted to trick the monkey by bringing him to the juicy mangoes on trees on the island in the middle of the river to let the crocodile eat the monkey.At last, the crocodile realised that he had been tricked and he was sad and miserable.
Third Story:Big Turtle
Many years ago the world had two parts.
Animals lived in the lower part, which was was completely covered in water and had no land or soil.
Above was the Sky World, where the sky people lived.
One day a girl from the Sky World went for a long walk and became very tired.
Suddenly, there was a rumbling sound like thunder and the ground began to crack. A big hole opened up next to the apple tree.
She slid through the hole and tumbled over and over towards the watery world below.
The girl screamed for help and luckily, two swans were swimming below and saw the girl tumbling down from the sky.
The swans spread their wings together and caught the girl on their soft feather backs.
After hearing what happened to the girl, the Big Turtle called all the animals in the water world to a meeting. He told them an old story about soil being found deep under the water.
The otter, beaver, muskrat and Toskwaye the Toad.At last, Toskwaye the Toad found the few grains of soil and spat it on the Turtle's back, then fell back onto the water - dead.
Today, some people say the whole world still rests on Big Turtles back. When he gets tired and changes his position, we have earthquakes.

Stories:
1)Rabbbit The Hunter
The character in the story are Rabbit, Rabbit's Grandmother and Sun. The Rabbit was brave and hardworking as it go to the forest by itself and woke up very early in the morning everyday. And as for Rabbit's Grandmother, she was very loving as she love Rabbit very much and she would do anything for the Rabbit to make the Rabbit happy. The Sun was rude because the Rabbit accidentally caught the Sun and wanted to free it but the sun kept on shouting to the Rabbit to let him off. These animals were used in folk tales as maybe they were like fairy tales cartoon and they were very cute.
2)Kangaroo gets a pouch
There were Mother Kangaroo, Joey and the Old Wombat in the story. They are all the characters of the story. The Mother Kangaroo was kind, loving, friendy and considerate. She did not raise her voice at anyone and she love her son very much. When she bumped into the Wombat, she helped the Wombat. When the Wombat was thirsty, she brings the Wombat to drink some water and she saw some hunters, she did run off on her own but she escaped with the Wombat and her son, Joey. As for Joey, the Mother Kangaroo's son, he was very playful and likes to wander off on his own. When Mother Kangaroo told him to eat the fresh grass, he wander off very quickly and did not eat a single grass. Finally, the Wombat was actually a Father of all Creatures and he turned into a Wombat to test all animals in the world to see if it was friendly or kind. I described all the animals in the story was good, kind and friendly. Some of the stories were all made up stories in the past by all thoes storyteller.
3) The Monkey and the Crocodile
All the characters in the story are the Monkey, Crocodile and the Crocodile's Wife. The Monkey was smart and thinks of a way to escape very quickly. He can thinks of very smart ideas very fast. As for the Crocodile, he is not so clever and always listen to what his wife says and obey it. When the Monkey said that his heart was not with him and his heart was in the tree, the Crocodile believed him. Everyone knows that without a heart, the living-thing will die. The Crocodile's Wife likes to ask people to do things for her. Like when she wanted to eat the Monkey's heart, she told her husband to help her catch the Monkey. She was lazy and did not do things on her own. The characters were used in folk tales because maybe it is easy to imagine the picture of the character. Especially when we can imagine the picture into a cartoon image.

The characters in the video is the Crow. The Crow was a hardworking and clever bird. When he saw some water by the seaside, he went to drink some water as it was thirsty. But the water was too little as its beak was too small to reached the water. And he had and idea, he could put many stones he found on the seaside and drop it into the water so that the water would rise higher and higher. And in the end, he manage to drink the water. The crow was a folk tales character as this story was famous as people in the past used to tell folk tales stories and some of them pass the story to their friends, families and relatives. And they kept on passing the story to others and thats how we know the story and it is famous.
In The Monkey And The Hare, there was a monkey and a hare.The monkey is always follow what the person says.The hare is very evil because he asked monkey to stew each other in the clay pot.The other story is the cat and the dog. I think the cat is very jealous of the dog. The dog , I find him very helpful.I think that why dog is in te story because dogs are hunters and they are brave.
There was also a story called "Feasting ".I find that the tortoise is very dishonest.The tortoise is chosen because he had a hard shell that match the story.
I think some animals are ferocious and ungrateful like the tiger one of the folk tales called 'The ungrateful tiger'.I would describe some as smart,cunning and fierce and hard working.I think they are in folk tales as they can be told in stories in many different stories by their charcateristics.

The characters are the tiger and the man.The tiger was a very cruel and wicked animal because it promised that he would be grateful if the man took him out of the net but when he was not grateful instead he wanted to eat the man.To find out what happened after that read the story.
2)Why Bat has no friends
The characters in this story are all the animals with claws,all the animals with wings and the bat.The bat was a very untrustable animal because in the fight between the animals with claws and the animals with wings he would always go into the team which was winning. winning side.
3)The Crow and The pitcher
In this story there is only one character which is the crow.The crow was a very hardworking and clever animal as there was very litte water and by putting many stones into the pitcher which contained little water it proved that it was clever and hardworking.
The Red Dragon:
The Characters are The red dragon and all the forest animals.The red dragon was very clever as he did not want all the forest animals to die as the red dragon told them that the wizard told him it is going to be the end of the world.
The Ungrateful tiger:
The characters are the tigers, villagers and a young man.the tigers are very ferocious and ungrateful as the tigers everyday came and eat the villagers body parts and when they are trap, they asked the young man to save them.Little did the young man knew that the tiger planned to eat him.
Rabbit the hunter:
The characters are the rabbit , the rabbit's grandmother and the giant.The rabbit was brave does not give up as teh rabbit was very brave to fight the giant.As each time he kept failing, he kept trying Again and again.
Hi Mrs Tan, my favorite story is "The Ungrateful Tiger". The characters are tiger,villagers,young man and a Ox. The tiger is greedy and harmful, the villagers are good characters, the young man is kind and the Ox is a good judge. some of the story can be false.

It is about a group of people was verry hurry because there is no buffalo for them to hunt and eat so a boy from the group of people go to the hill and talktothe god them the god give the group of people alot of sacred dog it can do many thing.

there was a girl in a village that was hardworking and nobody appriciated her. every day she would bring turkeys to the canyon to find food.from sunrise to sunset
One day there was a dance. everybody was talking about it but the girl knew that he couldnt go even if she was invited. she wouldnt have a dress to wear she said to the turkeys. suddenly the turkeys came round her and when they moved away from her, the oldest turkey had a beutiful dress in its beak.
she took the dress and went to the dress and thanked the turkeys.
the girl is a very hardf working girl and caring for living things

I have read a story called a "A girl who married a bear". It is about a girl who is the daughter of the chief. She is nice girl and loving. One day she went to the forest with her friend because she and her friend wanted to pick berries. When the sky is getting darker, her friends wanted to go back home but the girl did not want to go back home as she wanted to pick more berry. When her friend went home, the girl found a bushes with full of berries. She quickly go to the bushes and can't wait to go back home and show to her friends how many did she get. When the sky is getting darker, she met a man and asked her to go back to his house as it is getting darker. The girl agreed and when she come to his house, she found a lot of people with a bear skin. The man's father told her she cannot go back home and she must married her son. The girl cried and the next day she married the man which is actually a bear.

Story 1:The girl who married a bear
The characters are Peesunt and a bear man. It is about Peesunt going berry hunting and then her basket broke and a bear man helped her fix it. Then, she followed him to his village and was forced to marry the village chief's nephew. After that, her borothers rescued her and she became half bear. After she worn bear cloths, she turned to a full bear and lived in the mountains forever.

Have you ever wonder where will you go after you passed on?
Let me tell you about it.
There are quite a few animals.They are the giant tortoise,medicine man,villagers and the man that was brought back to life.This story is about a the giant tortoise that did not let anyone cross the 'bridge' to the other world.The medicine man was very brave so he went into the sea and cut the tortoise's tail and teeth.Thats why the tortoises does not have teeth and have a very short tail.I not sure if the story is true but it sure amazed me!

2)The Monkey and the Crocodile:
There three characters in this story.They are the Crocodile,Monkey and the Crocodile's wife.There was once a crocodile and her husband.The crocodile wanted to eat the monkey's heart.This monkey lived near the crocodiles.It was a very smart monkey.The crocodile sent her husband to kill the monkey and bring its heart for her.So the crocodile's husband did as he was told.But after he swam to the monkey,he had come up with a plan.Unfortunately, the plan failed and the crocodile went home without getting the monkey's heart.
I think the monkey is very smart and i also think that the crocodile is very cruel.

3)The Girl who married a Bear.
The characters in the story are bears,the chief's daughter and the chief.
There was once a chief who had a daughter.One day, the girl went to pluck berries with her friends.When plucking berries the chief's daughter saw some big berries so she pluck them.Her basket was very full but her friends were nowhere to be seen.The a bear caught her and did not let her go.She stayed there for many months and even became the bear's wife.She gave birth to two cubs.Then one day,her brothers came to the forest.Upon hearing what had happened to their daughter,they came to rescue her.
They killed her husband.She was very sad but she had no choice but to bring her cubs back with her brothers.
I think this a really sad story.It is also an interesting story.
Hi Mrs Tan, I've read "The Lion and The Mouse". The lion was kind and cruel. The lion was cruel because when he was sleeping, he was woken up by a little mouse. Pretending to be asleep, the lion slowly opened one eye and saw that is was a little mouse! Quickly, the lion reached out for the mouse. As Lion, The King of the Beasts was going to eat the little mouse up because the little mouse disrespected the King of Beasts. The mouse quickly begged the lion to free it. The little mouse said, you forgive me this time and let me go I’ll never, never forget it. I may be able to do you a good turn in the future to repay your kindness,” it squeaked.
The lion roared with laughter, “You, do me a favour! That is the funniest thing I’ve ever heard.” Still laughing, the Lion put the mouse down. The lion said that the mouse made the lion laughed so much, he can’t eat the mouse up and let the mouse free.
Not long after, the lion was caught by a group of hunters. The mouse heard the lion calling for help as it (mouse) was nearby. The little mouse went to the net and chewed through them. At last, the lion was saved.

Video 1) The Crow and The Pitcher
The character in the story is a very smart bird. When he/she wants to drink the water in the pitcher, he/she realised that his/her beak is too short to reach the water so he/she went to look for stones to drop into the pitcher so that he/she can drink the water. The Crow is also very hardworking and thirsty. I think in the past, people made up this story as they think the Crow is very smart to fit in this story.
Story 1) The Ungrateful Tiger
The characters in the story are the Ungrateful Tiger, the villagers, the hare, an ox and a man. The tiger was always wandering in the villagers where the village people live. The tiger even ate one of the village people’s leg! The villagers knew that they should do something about this. They decided to dig a hole somewhere in the forest so when the tiger walk past the hole, he will fall into the hole. When the tiger was walking along the forest paths, he suddenly fell into the hole. The tiger howled and howled. A young man heard the howling sounds and decided to follow the sound of the howling sounds and find out what is happening. Soon, he saw a tiger that has fallen into a deep hole. The tiger begged the young man to rescue him out so he can be grateful to him and if he is not rescued, his wife and children will be worried. The tiger wanted the man to pity him. Eventually, the man decided to help the tiger. When the tiger came out of the hole, he wants to eat the man. The tiger and the man decided that he should be eaten or not. The hare judge that the tiger should not eat the man while the Ox is very cruel, judge that the tiger should eat the man. In the end, the tiger did not eat the man. I think the tiger is added in this story as the tiger is known as a very fierce and ferocious animal and often do bad things. I think that this story is made up by people in the past as tigers and all the other animals could not talk.
Video 2) Yote Tail
The characters in the story are the two coyotes, a panda, a deer and a. The coyotes are very proud and said that they are very beautiful. They are walking in the woods when they saw a few animals drinking water in the river. One coyote said that when they walk pass them, they would say that they are so sleek and beautiful. When the first coyote walked pass proudly, all the animals said the same thing. Then when the second coyote walked pass, the animals said “OOH look! There’s another one! OOOHH…” I think the coyotes are added in the story as they look so shiny and glossy and their skin also looks very silky and smooth. I think this story is made up by people as the animals could not talk.

The first story, How Kangaroo Got His Tail, the characters were Mirram the kangaroo and Warreen the wombat. I think that Mirram was very rude to tease Warreen.
In the second story, The Storytelling Stone, the characters were a young man named Crow, and a story telling stone that calls himself the grandfather stone. I think that Crow was so poor to the exstand that he didn't hear/read a story before.
In the third story, Koobor the Koala and Water, the characters were Koobor and the villagers. I think that the story is very cool that Koobor turned from a boy to a koala.

Story: The monkey And The Crocodile-
There was a monkey lived in a big fig tree long time ago. A crocodile wanted to take the monkey's heart to his wife to eat. That he trick the monkey that there was a mango tree in the middle of the river. But the monkey wanted to try the mangos on the mango tree. When the monkey climed onto the crocodile's back, he was almost been drown in the river by the crocodile. The crocodile told the monkey that he was going to drown him because he wanted to take his heart to his wife to eat. The monkey trick him that he didn't taked his heart with him and he left it at the big fig tree. The crocodile was so greedy that he say:" Then I think we need to get back there at the big fig tree to get your heart for my wife." When they reached there the Monkey get down from the crocodile and said:" You silly Crocodile. This was the the best trick to save my live." The crocodile was very angry of himself that he was so greedy.

The crow was very thristy one day. He found a Pitcher whick contains water. The Crow tried to reached for the water to drink. It try and try and try, he still can't get the water.
Suddenly, the Crow had an idea. He went down to the ground and take sopme stones/ peddles and put it in the Pitcher. The water rise up and the Crow drank the water quickly.

Story: A girl who Married a Bear-
There was a girl called Peesunt. She was a chief's daughter. She was vain and proud. She was always combing her long black hair, waiting for people to say how beautiful it was and how her skin was soft.
One day, she went to a forest to pick berries with her friends from the tribe. As they walked further and further under the trees, Peesunt's friends became nervous. They started to sing softly.
"why you singing?" asked Peesunt. " We frighterend of disturbing the animals" said one of her friends. "We need to let them know we're coming- especially the bears."
The sky is getting darker... They are going home. But Peesunt saw a bush with the biggest and the juiciest berries all over it. She stop following her friends and went to pick up alot of berries. The berries was overflowing from her baskt.
The sun was going down...
She met a man and asked her come to his village as it was getting darker. Peesunt agree. When they both reached the village where the man stay. She saw many people wearing bearskin cloaks. After when they eat and talk, the cheif of the village where the man lived said to Peesunt that:"You will stay in this village forever and marry my young nephew, who brought you here." Peesunt had to agree after she knows what acturelly happened.
After she married, her brothers killed Peesunt's husband. Peesunt cried and cried and criend that she have to went back to her own village. She asked her father, the cheif:"I don't feel comfortable living with people now. May I live in the small house at the edge of the village?" "Yes my daughter, you can" said her father.
One day, one of her brothers brought her some bearskins to make warm clothing for the winter. Peesunt and her children put the skins around them and turned into bears forever. She took the cubs into the mountains and they were never seen again.

The crocodile help the monkey get to the middle of the river and told him wickedly: i want your heart, my wife wants to eat your heart. The monkey lied to the crocodile and say that his heart is at the tree. the crocodile was dumb enough to listen to the monkey. When the monkey got back to his tree, the crocodile realised that he was fooled by the monkey.

"a girl who marry a bear" , there is a vain girl,bear,girl's father,girl's brother,the chief of the bear group.the girl was very vain,the bear was very brave and strong.
1) The Girl Who Married A Bear
There are characters such as chief's Daughter(Peesunt) , some Girls,the bear's chief and the bear . Peesunt was proud because she was the chief's daughter .She was so sturborn that she did not listen to the other girls who were singing .The other girls were very frighten to disturb the animals , especially the bears .
The Bear's Chief was quite fierce when he shouted at Peesunt about the marriage to his newphew .The bear was very cruel to try to kill men and people . The people of her tribe remembered how the daughter of their chief had married a bear and taught them to respect any bear that they killed.

RAbbit was an wild rabbit he likes to hunt animals , but when he saw those giant footprints, he thought it was the giant so she set a trap for giant , but he did not trrap the giant but the sun . RAbbit's grandmother is a very good grandmother , she alawys do things to make Rabbit happy , example , RAbbit got really angry about giant hutning all the animals in thr forest so she ask grandmother to make a magic net for her . grandmother do what RAbbit told her . Sun was very angry when it was trap in RAbbit's net . It kicked Rabbit on the shoulders, almost knocking him over.The Sun's heat made RAbbit's shoulders brown. They was sore shoulders.They were scorched brown with the heat from Sun's foot - and they are still brown to this day.

hi mrs tan the story i am going to talk about is "the girl who married the bear.The bear is smelly but also smart.The girl is foolish because she married a bear.The story is about a chef's daughter and her friends went to pluck berries it was late chief's daughter decided to stay in the forest and pluck more berries while her friends went back home.After plucking the berries she headed home.Suddenly her basket broke and all the berries fell out.In front of her was a young man he asked her to stay in his as it was late.The chief's daughter decided to stay in the young man's house.the people did not let go of her they wanted her to marry the young prince.She was locked in a cage.She had no choice but to marry the young man but one day she came to know that it wasn't a man it was a bear.The chief daughter went ot her house and told her father that she wanted to stay with the bears.Her father agreed.Few days after she gave birth and changed into a real bear.
wow myths are so relaxing to listen to even though they are not real. most of their chracteristics are interesting. but in most legends/folktales there are always a good and a bad character
